Senior Sustainability Expert

About the role:

The Senior Sustainability Expert will play a key part in enhancing our organization's performance and promoting environmental sustainability. This position will be responsible for managing the implementation of sustainable practices across various projects, collaborating closely with teams to identify areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions to minimize our ecological footprint.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies to reduce our organization's carbon emissions and improve environmental sustainability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for sustainability enhancements
  • Implement sustainable practices and solutions to minimize waste and energy consumption
  • Monitor and report on progress toward sustainability goals
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to support sustainability initiatives

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a corporate setting
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to analyze data and develop insights to inform sustainability decisions
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, having experience with:

  • Sustainability software and tools
  • Environmental management systems (EMS)
  • Carbon footprint analysis
  • Stakeholder engagement and community outreach
