Job Title: Sustainability Specialist

The role of a Sustainability Specialist is to provide comprehensive greenhouse gas emissions accounting and reporting. This involves reviewing process diagrams, supporting environmental programs, and utilizing tools for frequent emissions monitoring.

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring and tracking emissions levels
  • Developing strategies for reduction and mitigation
  • Collaborating with teams to review fuel and flare reports

The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of equipment and emission sources within oil and gas facilities, preparing monthly emission summaries, and managing operational issues to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reviews flare allocation reports and recommends improvements
  • Stays updated on greenhouse gas accounting rules and regulations
  • Supports external regulatory compliance, including ISO 14001 audits and sustainability reporting
  • Knowledge of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) reporting standards is essential

The Sustainability Specialist will play a crucial role in reducing the organization's carbon footprint and promoting sustainable practices throughout the company.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or Carbon Management, with at least 4 years of experience in sustainability and environmental management. Key skills include advanced knowledge of equipment and emission sources within oil and gas facilities, greenhouse gas emissions accounting and reporting, process engineering modeling, and review of PFDs and PIDs.
