Job Opportunity:

We're seeking a Legal Expert to join our organization and drive high-impact legal work across various areas, including client negotiations, IP protection, risk management, and data privacy compliance.

This role involves taking end-to-end ownership of critical legal projects, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and contributing to internal compliance, IP protection, and risk management frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel, a strong understanding of software licensing, technology transfers, and data privacy, and excellent communication skills to simplify complex legal concepts for non-legal teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, draft, negotiate, and vet commercial agreements
  • Ensure compliance with data protection laws
  • Contribute to internal compliance, IP protection, and risk management frameworks
  • Liaise with external counsels, partners, and regulators
  • Stay updated on evolving legal and regulatory landscapes
  • Assist in developing and maintaining internal legal processes and templates

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel
  • LL.B. required (LL.M. or certifications in data privacy/ fintech are a plus)
  • Strong skills in legal drafting and negotiation
  • Understanding of software licensing, technology transfers, and data privacy
  • Clear, confident communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Learn the ropes and get up to speed on our business, products, and legal operations
  2. Take ownership of standard contracts and support negotiations with clients
  3. Lead end-to-end negotiations for routine contracts and contribute to process improvements
  4. Support product, ops, and finance teams with legal needs
