Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned IT leader to spearhead our technical team and provide strategic support for the MPMS Retirement Solutions application environments.

This individual will be responsible for diagnosing, resolving, and documenting issues, as well as ensuring scheduled release upgrades and deployments are executed seamlessly.

The successful candidate will ensure service requests are actioned in accordance with established service levels and performance targets, and provide technical support to core business application environments to maintain 24x7 availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Automation Strategy: Develop CI & CD pipelines, ensuring repeatability and resilience in all processes.
  • Ensure High Availability: Work with the DevOps team to deliver a resilient environment platform that conforms to HA BC and DR requirements.
  • Implement Best Practices: Enhance and grow the capability and quality of the service provided by the Business to our Clients through the implementation of best practice tooling and methodology.
Operational Management
  • Manage Production Environments: Ensure they are protected by governance, good practice/process, design, and 'fit for purpose' environments.
  • Release Deployment: Package project and change releases to the right quality, repeatable between environments without change or modification, and deploy to target environments - ultimately to Production without detriment or issue in agreed timescales.
People Leadership
  • Provide Skilled Resource: Manage gaps in skills or resource to reduce risk to Change, Projects or the Business, providing skilled, capable resource to Project/Change Leads suited to the delivery.
  • Develop Technical Skills: Develop technical skills required for test environment management function for self and the team.
