Investment Banking Application Support Specialist

Job Description:

Our team seeks an experienced Investment Banking Application Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for business-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development lifecycle, ITIL processes, and AWS technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and respond to system alerts, incidents, and user-reported issues in a timely manner.
  • Investigate and analyze incidents to determine their root causes.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to applications, databases, and integrations.
  • Coordinate with development teams to implement fixes and enhancements.
  • Provide updates to stakeholders on the status of ongoing incidents.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, solutions, and changes in the production environment.
  • Create and update support documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in supporting business applications, preferably in investment banking.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and ITIL processes.
  • Experience with AWS, Unix/Linux environments, and database technologies such as SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of programming languages, scripting languages, and ticketing systems like Jira.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical users.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
