Microprocessor Test Engineer

The ideal candidate will be a member of our team that plays a significant role in ensuring the quality of next generation microprocessors through structured design for test, automatic test pattern generation, and logic built-in self-test techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure DFT design rules and guidelines are met.
  • Develop and implement high-quality manufacturing test patterns for stuck-at and transition fault models using on-chip test compression techniques.
  • Exercise the LBIST circuitry and ensure repeatable signatures can be produced.
  • Simulate and verify ATPG and LBIST patterns.
  • Work with product engineering teams to deliver manufacturing test patterns.
  • Develop, improve, and maintain scripts as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Detailed knowledge of DFT basics including scan insertion, fault models, ATPG, BIST techniques, and on-chip compression techniques that reduce test time and tester memory.
  • Experience with test tools such as FastScan and TestKompress is highly desirable.
  • Scan/ATPG, knowledge of industry-standard DFT features, simulation debug, MBIST.

Academic Credentials:

  • MS/M Tech/BE in Computer Engineering/Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
  • Demonstrated success in a senior IC team role with similar skills.
