Job Title: Design Lead – Solar

We are currently seeking an accomplished Solar Power Plant Engineer to oversee the engineering activities of our solar power plant projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and executing engineering activities, facilitating the development of BIM 3D models, and coordinating with various departments.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To deliver high-quality engineering drawings and documents on time.
  • To ensure that deliveries align with project schedules and deadlines.
  • To review designs and calculations by design engineers and draughts persons.
  • To obtain approvals from clients.
  • To estimate and plan man-hour requirements.
  • To review bills of quantities and submit to the contracts team.
  • To coordinate with multiple disciplines for inter-departmental checks.
  • To provide support and clarifications to site execution teams.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.
  • Experience in design aspects of solar PV power plants and power distribution projects.
  • Strong background in civil and structural engineering.
  • Able to multitask and deliver multiple tasks on time.
  • Able to lead a team of design engineers and draughts persons to manage engineering activities within budget and deliver high-quality results.

About the Role:

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in designing outdoor steel structures and miscellaneous works related to solar power plants.
  • The candidate will be required to review vendor engineering documents with respect to civil and structural design.
  • The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
