Job Purpose

The Assistant Manager Solar Cell Maintenance will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Solar Cell Manufacturing Line. The role ensures optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency of manufacturing equipment while adhering to safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Supervision

  • Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including emergency response.
  • Monitor performance of Cell Line equipment using MES and other monitoring tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues (electrical/mechanical) in Cell Line Manufacturing equipment.
  • Coordinate with contractors/vendors for repairs, replacements, and upgrades.

2. Performance Optimization

  • Implement strategies to enhance equipment effectiveness.
  • Analyze performance data to identify improvement areas and execute corrective measures.
  • Conduct regular inspections to assess equipment condition and mitigate safety risks.

3. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and safety training for the maintenance team.
  • Investigate and report incidents promptly.

4. Project Management

  • Assist in planning and executing small-scale projects (equipment upgrades/system expansions).
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery and efficiency.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and performance data.
  • Prepare reports on system performance, maintenance KPIs, and improvement initiatives.

6. Team Management

  • Mentor, motivate, and lead the maintenance team to achieve performance goals.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Support recruitment and training of new team members.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in maintenance of manufacturing equipment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-specific software (MES, monitoring tools).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the region when required.
  • Must be willing to work in a cleanroom environment.
