Job Title: Patent Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to lead high-impact IP research projects and manage a team of patent professionals. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, client-facing skills, and people management to deliver strategic patent insights and support decision-making for global clients.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in patent research and analytics, with prior experience managing a team of 3-5+ members. They will be proficient in patent search tools, MS Office, and have excellent analytical, scientific aptitude, and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will also have hands-on experience handling global client calls independently and possess a BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech degree in Mechanical/Automobile/Electronics/Electrical/Industrial Production. Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive business development opportunities will also be essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead complex patent projects – Invalidation, FTO, Patentability searches
  2. Conduct technology landscapes, white space analysis & competitor monitoring
  3. Deliver insight-driven patent reports supporting strategic decisions
  4. Collaborate with global clients to define scope & align on objectives
  5. Evaluate patent portfolios for legal, technical & commercial insights
  6. Manage and mentor a team of 8–10 IP professionals for quality & productivity
  7. Drive client engagement and support business development opportunities
  8. Promote best practices, process improvements & knowledge-sharing
Requirements:
  • 6–10 years of experience in patent research & analytics
  • Prior experience managing a team of 3–5+ members
  • Hands-on experience handling global client calls independently
  • Proficiency in patent search tools (e.g. Derwent Innovation), MS Office
  • Strong analytical mindset, scientific aptitude & communication skills
  • BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile / Electronics / Electrical / Industrial Production
