This role demands a high degree of technical proficiency in payment integrations, APIs, and web technologies. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, OAuth, and Webhooks, as well as mobile technology. Proven experience in solution architecture, technical consulting, or pre-sales engineering within the payments, fintech, or e-commerce industry is also essential.

A critical aspect of this position is the ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical solutions that meet business objectives. Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and stakeholder management are all key attributes required to succeed in this role.

About the Role
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient payment solutions ensuring seamless PayPal integration for partners and merchants.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions driving adoption and optimizing payment performance.
  • Engage directly with partners and merchants providing technical guidance troubleshooting complex integration challenges and ensuring a smooth go-live experience.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and PayPal's evolving technology stack leveraging APIs SDKs and cloud-based architectures to enhance payment capabilities.
  • Support go-to-market initiatives contributing to technical documentation best practices and enablement programs to empower internal teams and external stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
  • Total 4 to 8 years of experience in IT with 5+ years in Solutions Engineering.
  • Strong technical hands-on expertise in payment integrations APIs and web technologies with experience in RESTful APIs JSON OAuth and Webhooks and mobile technology.
  • Proven experience in solution architecture technical consulting or pre-sales engineering within the payments fintech or e-commerce industry.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions while effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Hands-on problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex integration challenges and ensuring seamless go-live experiences.
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills working cross-functionally with Sales Product and Engineering teams to drive successful implementations.
