Job Opportunity

We are seeking a talented professional to fill the position of Packaging Development Specialist.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a packaging expert to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative packaging solutions.

  • Serving as primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging expert on technical development teams to provide best-in-class containers, drug delivery devices, cartons, and shippers for pharmaceutical products.
  • Supporting innovator pack/reference package characterization.
  • Interacting with CMOs and global teams for packaging requirements and problem resolution during processes, including primary, secondary, and tertiary requirements.
  • Executing CAPA defined by management/Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Supporting development of packaging artwork for cartons, labels, and inserts in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A B.S./M.S. degree in Engineering, Packaging Science, Polymers, or Life Sciences.
  • At least 3 years' experience in parenteral package development, primarily in the pharmaceutical industry or drug delivery device industry.
  • Strong knowledge of legislation, regulation, industry standards, and guidance within combination products and medical devices.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of drug delivery devices, primary packaging, secondary packaging, tertiary packaging, drug container interactions, parenteral drug delivery, risk assessment, statistical techniques, process capability, manufacturing processes, and transport studies and validation.
  • Excellent documentation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
