We are seeking an experienced Snowflake database administrator to lead our data platform in achieving optimal performance, security and availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement best practices for Snowflake performance tuning, data sharing, and security features.
  • Administer and monitor Snowflake databases, warehouses, and user access ensuring seamless operation of our data platform.
  • Perform Snowflake account management, resource monitoring, and cost optimization.
  • Implement and manage data replication, backup, and recovery strategies within Snowflake.
  • Manage role-based access control (RBAC) and enforce compliance/security policies.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to support ETL/ELT pipelines and optimize queries.
  • Provide expert level SQL Server administration including installation, configuration, patching, performance tuning, backup & recovery, high availability, replication & mirroring, and security administration for on-premises environments.

Required Skills:

  • 8-16 years of total experience in database administration with a focus on cloud platforms.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake DBA activities.
  • Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, data sharing, and security.
  • 5+ years experience in SQL Server Administration (on-prem).
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud data platforms.
  • Strong scripting abilities (SQL, SnowSQL, PowerShell or Python).
  • Experience working in DevOps / CI-CD environments is a plus.

Preferred Certifications:

  • SnowPro Core / Advanced Certification
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure/SQL Database Administrator
