Job Title: Dedicated Database Architect

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Dedicated Database Architect to join our team. As a key member of our database development team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our databases to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, including Intersystems IRIS/Cache(Ensemble), and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects that meet business requirements.

Your expertise in database administration, security best practices, capacity planning, and performance tuning will be invaluable in ensuring the smooth operation of our databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement databases using Intersystems IRIS/Cache(Ensemble)
  • Develop and maintain database security policies and access controls
  • Plan and optimize database capacity to ensure high performance
  • Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies
  • Ensure high availability and interoperability of databases
  • Develop and implement reporting and mirroring solutions
  • Install, upgrade, and patch databases as needed
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and provide solutions
  • Manage database maintenance and monitoring tools
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of database design and data modeling principles
  • Experience integrating databases with ETL/BI software
  • Proficiency in ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow) and release management systems (e.g. Azure DevOps)
  • Familiarity with Azure and Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of Intersystems IRIS/Cache(Ensemble) coding and development
