Database Administrator Role

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and well-rounded Senior Database Administrator with a strong development background to be part of a fast-paced production support and full-lifecycle implementation team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mind and excellent problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of database administration, including design, development, testing, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities:

  • Full life cycle support of client's databases, including system installation, configuration, and maintenance, as well as database backups, design, development, testing, and performance tuning.
  • Oracle Exadata patching and maintenance experience is required.
  • Responsible for database upgrades, quarterly patch applications, and periodic database maintenance with minimal downtime.
  • Will work closely with developers to design and build new database structures to support application enhancements and promote database changes throughout the Dev, UAT, and Prod environments.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for automation of repeated tasks.

This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of database architecture, logical and physical design, automation, documentation, installs, shell scripting, PL/SQL programming, backup & recovery concepts, and database performance and tuning.
  • Familiarity with Oracle database management systems, including RAC and non-RAC configurations, Active DataGuard for DR, partitioning on 12c and 19c on premises and cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze database performance and optimize database queries.
