Your RoleYou will handle Accounts Payable functions, assisting colleagues in identifying and implementing improvements. As a Finance and Accounting Subject Matter Expert, you will bring relevant experience in accounts payable processes.
- Calculate, post business transactions, process invoices, and verify financial data for maintaining accounts payable records.
- Review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval.
- Verify and calculate all extensions and totals on invoices (calculating discounts when applicable).
- Check vendor files for previous payments and assign voucher numbers.
- Prepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amount, and coding per accounting policies and procedures.
- Identify and implement AP improvements.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce.
- Relevant experience in finance and accounting.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting concepts.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of ERP systems like SAP or PeopleSoft is an added advantage.
