Lead Solar Engineer Role

Description:

This role involves leading the design engineering of solar power plants. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and designing photovoltaic (PV) power plants across various verticals.

  • Responsible for conducting site studies, shadow analysis, power evacuation feasibility assessments, and analyzing available data such as location, weather conditions, irradiation, shading, etc.
  • Developing engineering deliverables including AC/DC single-line diagrams, inverter control room and main circuit relay equipment layouts, overall array layouts, AC/DC cable schedules, DC equipment designs, SCADA systems, earthing, etc.
  • Analyzing PVSYST simulation results using solar GIS, Metronome, and 3-tier data during pre-bid and post-bid phases.
  • Designing and estimating project engineering with bill of quantities (BOQ) for fixed tilt, seasonal tilt, and single-axis tracker systems.
  • Interacting with lenders' and investors' technical teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in renewable energy industries, preferably with knowledge of design engineering principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong technical capabilities.
  • Strong command over English language, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in design software such as PVSYST, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other relevant tools.
