Job Summary :-
We are seeking a skilled Solar Design Engineer with 2–7 years of experience in solar system designing, feasibility analysis, and coordination with execution teams. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and PVSyst along with a solid understanding of DISCOM/net-metering rules and electrical standards.
Key Responsibilities :-
Site Assessment & Measurements.
- Conduct site visits to capture accurate site measurements.
- Assess roof/land feasibility for solar system installation.
System Design & Engineering.
- Perform detailed system design using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and PVSyst.
- Size strings, modules, inverters and prepare layouts.
- Create Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), BOQs, and technical drawings.
Technical & Regulatory Knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with DISCOM and net-metering rules.
- Adhere to relevant electrical codes and standards.
Feasibility & Analysis.
- Analyse electricity bills (units, tariff, TOD, load, demand charges).
- Evaluate project feasibility for rooftop solar installations.
Coordination & Execution Support.
- Work closely with site engineers, project managers, and execution teams.
- Provide technical inputs during project implementation.
Documentation & Reporting.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Maintain and update project data using Excel/Google Sheets.
Communication & Independence.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Work independently and ensure timely project deliverables.
Required Skills & Qualifications :-
- 2–7 years of relevant experience in Solar Design Engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and PVSyst.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV system components (modules, inverters, strings).
- Good understanding of electrical standards, DISCOM rules, and net-metering policies.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret electricity bills and project feasibility.
- Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
