Role Description

This is a challenging opportunity to take ownership of building and maintaining advanced web applications using WordPress.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of PHP, the WordPress ecosystem, and database optimization techniques.

As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing custom themes, plugins, and internal tools for our WordPress engine.
  • Creating and maintaining advanced Gutenberg blocks, leveraging hooks, APIs, and custom theme logic.
  • Optimizing database queries and code execution through profiling, debugging, and performance analysis.
  • Integrating with REST APIs and supporting complex integrations/microservices.
  • Collaborating with front-end integrators to connect blocks/themes while owning the backend architecture.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills:

  • Deep expertise in PHP, WordPress, and SQL.
  • Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservice integration patterns, and React.
  • Experience working with Docker/Podman workflows and Linux environments.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS (SCSS), and JavaScript (ES6).
  • Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Passionate about technology and committed to delivering high-quality results.
