Job Overview: The Senior Director of Financial Operations will oversee the entire accounts and finance function, ensuring precise financial reporting, statutory compliance, efficient cash flow management, and strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning & Strategy
  • Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting process to optimize costs, improve margins, and enhance profitability.
  • Monitor financial performance against business goals and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Accounts & Reporting
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations and oversee accounting team performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and applicable financial reporting standards.
  • Compliance & Audit
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, Income Tax, TDS, ROC filings, and other applicable laws.
  • Liaise with statutory, internal, and tax auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.
  • Treasury & Working Capital Management
  • Manage cash flows, banking operations, and fund utilization efficiently.
  • Oversee working capital management, credit control, and debtor management.
  • Cost Control & MIS
  • Implement effective cost accounting systems and monitor production-related costs.
  • Develop and present periodic MIS reports to management for financial performance tracking.
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead and mentor the accounts & finance team, ensuring skill development and high performance.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • 8 - 15 years post CA qualification experience in Accounts & Finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in manufacturing (preferably metals/steel sector).
  • Strong expertise in financial reporting, statutory compliance, cost control, and treasury management.
