Key Responsibilities:

Information Systems Planning:

  • Ensure the evaluation of user needs and system functionality to optimize IT operations.
  • Ensure adherence to software licenses and laws to maintain a secure IT environment.
  • Plan, direct, and control all day-to-day information systems functions to ensure seamless operations.
  • Plan and approve equipment and software purchases related to systems, including operating systems, software, and storage devices.

People Management:

  • Establish and maintain seamless coordination and cooperation with all departments of the hotel to ensure maximum productivity, morale, and guest service.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with all departments to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Respond to queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure the team is trained on all safety provisions to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Keep all personnel informed of departmental objectives and policies to ensure everyone is aligned with the company's goals.
  • Motivate and develop the team to ensure smooth functioning of the department and promote teamwork.

Financial Management:

  • Prepare operational reports and analyze new trends to identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify optimal cost-effective use of resources and educate the team on the same to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Determine fiscal and physical requirements for all departments of the hotel and prepare budgetary recommendations.
  • Conduct periodic and annual inventory audits of equipment and recommend replacement as required to maintain up-to-date technology.

Operational Management:

  • Direct and coordinate database management, network administration, and user support services to ensure seamless IT operations.
  • Liaise with external agencies and equipment manufacturers to ensure effective management of the department.
  • Ensure the smooth running of all systems, including printer, antivirus software, and email facilities.
  • Approve and recommend technology, equipment, and software as per requirements to ensure the department has the necessary tools to function efficiently.
  • Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding service and equipment, and take corrective action to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate operations with Department Coordinators, Supervisors, and other Departmental Managers to ensure operational readiness, efficiency in resource utilization, and prompt delivery of services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 23 years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of hotel management software and common IT systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support staff and guests effectively.
  • Knowledge of network administration, security protocols, and data management practices.
