Job Overview

We seek a detail-oriented software quality assurance professional to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

The selected individual will be responsible for:

  • Analyzing functional requirements to develop comprehensive test cases and derive meaningful insights from them.
  • Creating concise, well-organized bug reports, test cases, and status reports that facilitate effective collaboration within the team.
  • Maintaining software test environments, ensuring they are properly set up, configured, and running smoothly.
  • Evaluating applications and test cases to determine the potential for automation, working closely with QA engineers to create a library of automated tests.
  • Examining product architecture to design tools tailored for automation testing, promoting efficiency and effectiveness in the testing process.
  • Collaborating with supervisors to assess and suggest enhancements to QA processes, document best practices, and improve testing methods.
  • Providing support during production software deployment, ensuring seamless release transitions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, allowing you to navigate complex software systems and identify areas for improvement.
  • Attention to detail and multitasking abilities, ensuring timely completion of tasks and high-quality deliverables.
  • Familiarity with automation technologies such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium, as well as programming languages like Python or Java.
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience with mainstream defect tracking and test management tools.
  • A minimum of eight years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, with a proven track record of delivering results-driven solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

We also welcome candidates with experience in the financial industry, particularly those with a focus on fixed income products. Additionally, familiarity with code version systems like SVN or Git is highly desirable.

Education

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a related field is required. Equivalent certifications or relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
