Job Overview

The role of a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer involves overseeing the quality assurance process to ensure the development of high-quality software products. This position requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as experience in testing frameworks like Selenium and Protractor.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and design automated tests to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Create and maintain continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) setup and environments.
  • Monitor automation daily, proactively reporting and escalating issues.
  • Develop and execute test plans against functional and technical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain test strategies and test cases while performing all testing activities.
  • Identify, isolate, regress, and communicate bugs effectively and efficiently.
  • Log defects in a detailed, understandable, and reproducible way, tracking assigned defects through to closure.
  • Create, maintain, perform, and upgrade test scripts, analyzing test cases, and providing regular progress reports.
  • Evaluate and communicate test coverage, red flags, and anomalies to aid in release certification decisions.
  • Perform business and requirements analysis, identifying requirements traceability.
  • Take ownership of assigned product module QA efforts.
  • Build, maintain, and administer a controlled test environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience testing complex enterprise-level applications and team coordination.
  • Strong working experience in testing frameworks like Selenium and Protractor.
  • Excellent analysis and communication skills.
  • Quick learner and creative problem solver able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of iterative software development life cycles and Agile methodologies, such as Scrum.
  • Knowledge of software testing techniques and methodologies.
  • Experience designing and implementing test plans and test cases.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
