AI Model Expert

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled AI model expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing advanced AI models for computer vision, generative AI, audio processing, predictive analysis, and NLP applications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring models are modular, reusable, and deployable in resource-constrained environments. Additionally, they will be required to collaborate with backend engineers for integration via standard formats and maintain reproducible pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and train models using naval-specific data and deliver them in the form of end products.
  • Fine-tune open-source LLMs (e.g., LLaMA, Qwen, Mistral, Whisper, Wav2Vec, Conformer models) for Navy-specific tasks.
  • Preprocess, label, and augment datasets.
  • Implement quantization, pruning, and compression for deployment-ready AI applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, Julia, and C++.
  • Experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, Hugging Face Transformers, OpenCV, NLTK, spaCy.
  • Knowledge of distributed training and model development & optimization techniques.
