Job Description

As a Senior Manager, you will lead and manage the end-to-end production process of bus body structures. Your key responsibility will be to ensure timely delivery, high-quality standards, cost efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory norms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Planning & Execution of Bus structures
  • Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
  • Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials
  • Monitor KPIs such as JPH (Jobs Per Hour), OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), and downtime
  • Quality Assurance, Ensure adherence to dimensional accuracy, fit & finish, and welding standards
  • Collaborate with QA teams to resolve line-level quality issues
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects
  • Process Improvement
  • Lead Kaizen, Six Sigma, and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Reduce non-value-added activities and improve line balancing
  • Implement automation and ergonomic improvements
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile Engg and 15-20 years of experience in automotive production. Key qualifications include strong understanding of bus body structure design and manufacturing, leadership and team management, problem-solving and decision-making, cost control and budgeting, ERP/MRP systems proficiency, safety and compliance awareness, performance metrics, production volume vs. plan, first pass yield (FPY), line efficiency, safety incident rate, quality audit scores, and cost per unit.
