Chief Information Analyst

The Tech Analyst role involves the analysis of information provided by a large number of sources.

• The Tech Analyst decomposes high-level information into details, abstracts up from low-level information to a general understanding of requirements, assesses the current capabilities of the enterprise and identifies gaps which prevent it from meeting business needs.
• They identify where change is required to achieve objectives, document gaps and solution opportunities, and specify detailed requirements according to standard templates using natural language.
• The Tech Analyst writes business requirements that are clear, concise, accurate, and at the appropriate level of detail to ensure understanding by the business stakeholder team.
• They document and maintain requirements by performing requirements analysis and verification.
• Working closely with Business Analysts, they understand business problems and rewrite them into fast and efficient solutions that ultimately help customers.

• Effective facilitation skills and techniques to elicit requirements from a diverse range of stakeholders and group sizes.
• Influencing and negotiating skills to work collaboratively with others in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to discuss technical and commercial solutions to internal and external parties.
• Knowledge of when and how to use business assessment tools such as feasibility studies, business cases, cost/benefit analyses, project sizing and costing, and current state analysis/needs assessments.
• Understanding of how people, processes, and technology within an organization interact in relationships and patterns to create feasible solutions on projects of medium to high complexity.
• Process-oriented, logical thinking to manage self to meet established delivery dates on multiple assignments.
• Ability to master complex tasks with minimal supervision and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Experience working in a matrix environment and managing system configurations and workflow updates.
• Strong knowledge of business processes related to supported business channels.
• Ability to offer solutions and their business impact to clients in a clear and concise manner.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of mutual fund or financial industry experience in an operations and/or project role.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to translate complex business requirements into detailed functional and/or technical specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to develop alternative solutions to complex problems and recommend the best solution to the business and project team.
