Job Title: Senior Engineering Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineering professional to lead our team in the development of complex structural designs. As a Senior Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the design process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the design process, including preparing feasibility study reports, working with the India Hong Kong Team to assemble design specifications, and mentoring junior members of the team.
  • Prepare feasibility study reports in agreed formats and review with the Local CRC Head of Structures.
  • Work with the India Hong Kong Team to develop design specifications compliant with employer requirements.
  • Agree and monitor scope of works with the Local CRC Head of Structures.
  • Define building requirements and purpose of use with the Local CRC Head of Structures and India Hong Kong Team for detailed design.
  • Carry out detailed design according to client requirements, including complex calculations and coordination issues.
  • Review and monitor calculation production, including QA and technical reviews.
  • Ensure project costing information is completed to detail and deadlines, and keep the India Hong Kong Team informed regarding design progress.
  • Coordinate project contracts documents and reviews input from team members.
  • Lead the design process and encourage team members to deliver cost-effective solutions.
  • Follow document control and QA processes, ensuring drawings, specifications, and correspondence are issued and filed appropriately.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in Building Structures design with significant experience in a similar role or good track record.
  • Good presentation skills required.
  • Must be fully conversant with technical structural software such as RAM, CSC, ETABS, SAFE, and STAAD.
  • Sound understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project essential.
  • Fluent English with excellent understanding of technical terminology required.
  • Good management, communication, and technical skills necessary for working within the team and independently.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with membership to an accredited engineering body.
  • British Chartered Engineer status or equivalent desirable.
  • 12+ years of experience.
