PostgreSQL Database Expert Wanted

We seek an experienced PostgreSQL database administrator to spearhead our large-scale database endeavors. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in database administration, performance optimization, and query tuning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer, maintain, and optimize vast PostgreSQL databases for high-performance applications.
  • Perform detailed query optimization, database tuning, and indexing strategies to ensure optimal database functionality.
  • Implement and monitor robust database backup, recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Manage database security, roles, and access permissions with utmost care.
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Utilize tools like timesqldb and monitoring utilities for proactive performance management.
  • Ensure database scalability, reliability, and availability in production environments through diligent maintenance.
  • Support upgrades, patching, and migration activities with precision.
Mandatory Skills:
  • Advanced PostgreSQL database administration skills.
  • Strong experience in performance optimization & query tuning.
  • Hands-on expertise with Linux environment.
  • Proven work with timesqldb and related toolkit utilities.
  • Ability to handle massive databases effectively.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of replication, partitioning, and clustering techniques.
  • Experience in automation and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools for optimal database performance.
