Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our database systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and securely.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Administration:

  • Install, configure, and upgrade MySQL databases.
  • Set up and monitor replication processes.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions.

Database Optimization:

  • Monitor database health and troubleshoot issues such as metadata locks, slow queries, and replication lag.
  • Improve database performance by optimizing queries and indexing.

Linux Server Management:

  • Manage user access and permissions on Linux servers.
  • Monitor system resources and perform routine maintenance tasks.

Backup and Recovery:

  • Implement and monitor backup processes using tools like mysqldump or Percona XtraBackup.

Security and Maintenance:

  • Perform routine patching and upgrades for MySQL and Linux environments.
  • Conduct security audits and implement hardening measures.

Troubleshooting:

  • Resolve L2 support tickets and escalate complex issues with proper RCA inputs.

Critical System Support:

  • Participate in DR drills and capacity planning.
  • Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base documentation.
