This role is responsible for leading the implementation and deployment of strategic quality plans in conjunction with plant leadership. The successful candidate will provide quality leadership to customers, suppliers, partners, and internal manufacturing cells; lead CI activities to satisfy quality objectives.
- Manages customer interface to proactively ensure requirements are understood and satisfied, including complaint resolution and root cause analysis determination.
- Ensures organizational support to Supply Chain Management organisation relative to supplier quality data collection/analysis and non-conformance management.
- Leads the development, implementation, and improvement of quality management systems throughout the operation, providing quality leadership and support in new product, process, and service development (via APQP and PPAP).
- Participates in and may lead internal auditing of ISO 9001, IECEx, and EQMS. Acts as a liaison for customer and regulatory audits.
- Analyses organisational quality metrics and performs managerial reviews to evaluate results and recommend action plans to close gaps at an operational level.
- Develops and implements a quality structure capable of supporting strategic business plans and initiatives.
- Designs and implements quality assurance training programs, conducts training in quality-related topics.
- Ensures functional participation in product development and launch activities, including identification of customer expectations, manufacturing and test support, reliability analysis, design reviews, evaluation of test programs, material testing.
- Leads improvement teams in process capability development, process control plan creation, out-of-control condition analysis, and process audits.
- Ensures development, implementation, and audit of complex inspection and test plans, standards, and acceptance criteria, and procedures/work instructions.
- Evaluates operational performance of the Quality function to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, job transfers, commendations, etc.
- Coordinates and assists with corporate initiatives, participating on teams to drive best practices across the organisation.
- Familiarity with UL/IEC standards for electronic devices, especially in safety-critical applications.
Bachelor's Degree in related field required. 15+ years industry experience preferred.
SkillsExpertise in Structured Problem Solving, Strong knowledge of APQP and PPAP, Experienced in Quality Management systems within regulated industries.
- Demonstrated ability to apply SPC, MSA, DOE, Minitab to drive Continuous Improvement.
- Relationship management with Customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Good analytical skills, time management, and passion for delivering excellence.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
