Job Description

The Marketplace Operations Director will lead the overall strategy, management and growth of our marketplace. This is a key role that requires a combination of skills: strategic planning, supply chain management, demand generation, and a deep understanding of market and customer preferences.

This position will be responsible for managing end-to-end business operations, planning and executing scalable growth initiatives, and creating predictable profit pools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive supply and demand within our marketplace and increase market share.
  • Understand local market trends and competitor activities, using insights to form appropriate plans to leverage opportunities for growth.
  • Identify revenue & cost-saving opportunities for maximizing profits.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to optimize costs and enhance revenue.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality of produce and experience for customers.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Leverage technology and innovation to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Engg/MBA professionals with 2-5 years of experience in pure play Key Account management roles with end-to-end responsibility.
  • Managing Rural Areas Sales Exposure is preferred.
  • B2B Sales exposure in FMCG/FMCG/Ecommerce industries with hands-on understanding of Credit Facilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong first-principle thinking, ability to identify & solve problem statements end to end.
  • Should have managed operations, with a track record of bringing process efficiency.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and profitability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
