Site Reliability Engineering Lead

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to fill the role of Site Reliability Engineering Lead. This key position will play a pivotal role in shaping the SRE function within our organization, contributing to the Group SRE team, and driving strategic initiatives.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Define, drive, and implement the SRE strategy to ensure seamless service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Promote an 'Automate-first' culture in operating services, reducing toil and enhancing overall productivity.
  • Develop methodologies and strategies for identifying toil-heavy processes, automating tasks, and eliminating inefficiencies.
  • Assist in developing engineering and operational service metrics with actionable plans to improve operational efficiency, enhance service quality/SLA, and optimize delivery.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop and implement Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for critical services.
  • Design and implement monitoring strategies with Engineering, ensuring real-time visibility and optimal performance.
  • Lead architectural reviews for reliability, ensuring that systems are designed with fault tolerance and scalability in mind.
  • Drive continuous improvement from incidents, applying lessons learned to enhance overall resilience.
  • Contribute to Test and Deployment processes, ensuring they are as reliable and automated as possible.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in SRE or related fields, with a strong track record of driving strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and develop effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and technologies, including automation tools and cloud platforms.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
