Rural Growth Specialist

As a Growth Lead, you will be responsible for driving business growth through data-driven strategies and experimentation. You will develop and implement comprehensive growth plans to increase brand awareness and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute growth plans across farmers, labour contractors, and buyers to drive business growth.
- Conduct funnel, CAC, and cohort analyses using Google Analytics 4, Looker, or Amplitude to identify areas of improvement.
- Design and implement experimentation engines to A/B test vernacular WhatsApp flows, landing pages, and offers.
- Implement attribution and tracking systems across CRM, UTMs, and campaign tagging to measure campaign effectiveness.
- Develop and optimize campaigns across WhatsApp, IVR, SMS, Meta Ads, YouTube, and rural influencers to increase brand reach and engagement.
- Own lifecycle journeys: onboarding, engagement, retention, and win-back to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Automate personalized flows via CRM tools, Meta BSPs, and WhatsApp integrations to enhance customer experience.
- Build vernacular retargeting and audience segmentation strategies to increase conversions and sales.
- Create activation playbooks for mandis, SHG meetings, farmer days, and village events to drive business growth.
- Launch referral and ambassador programs for farmers and mukkadams to increase brand advocacy and referrals.
- Manage vernacular WhatsApp, Telegram, and Facebook groups as micro communities of trust to build strong relationships with customers.
- Design physical kits and grassroots activations to reinforce brand credibility and trust.
- Build and maintain a messaging library for different regions, crops, and user cohorts to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
- Develop farmer-facing videos, WhatsApp campaigns, brochures, and case studies to educate customers and showcase success stories.
- Work with agronomy experts to turn technical PoPs into easy-to-use narratives to improve customer understanding and adoption.
- Enable field officers with content packs in local languages to improve communication and customer engagement.
- Define a rural-first SEO strategy with vernacular keywords, farmer FAQs, and local business listings to improve search engine rankings and visibility.
- Build content engines (articles, videos, reels) that pull in inbound demand for advisory and marketplace services to drive business growth.
- Manage a distributed team of vernacular writers, translators, and editors to ensure high-quality content and consistency.
- 3-6 years of experience in growth, lifecycle, or rural brand marketing.
- Experience launching or scaling products in agri, FMCG, or rural India (Tier 2-4 markets).
- Hands-on experience with Meta Ads, Google Analytics 4, Hubspot/Zoho, Glide, Retool, and WhatsApp CRMs.
- Track record of A/B testing, WhatsApp automation, and funnel optimization.
- Deep understanding of rural audiences - their trust triggers, aspirations, and adoption barriers.
- Fluency in Marathi and Hindi; comfort working across rural and urban contexts.
