Job Description

As a Senior Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale data systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in data warehousing and data modeling techniques.

  • Selecting and integrating Big Data tools and frameworks to provide requested capabilities
  • Developing and maintaining data pipelines that implement ETL processes, monitor performance, and advise infrastructure changes
  • Translating complex technical requirements into detailed designs
  • Investigating alternative solutions for data storing and processing to ensure streamlined approaches

You will serve as a mentor to junior staff by conducting technical training sessions and reviewing project outputs.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Data Warehousing and Modeling Techniques
  • Distributed Computing Principles - Hadoop v2, MapReduce, HDFS
  • Cloud Platforms (GCP) - Airflow, Cloud Composer, Data Fusion, Data Flow, Data Proc, Big Query
  • Stream Processing Systems - Storm or Spark-Streaming
  • Big Data Querying Tools - Pig, Hive, Impala
  • ETL Techniques and Frameworks - Flume, Apache NiFi, DBT
  • Messaging Systems - Kafka or RabbitMQ
  • Lambda Architecture and its Advantages/Drawbacks
