Job Title: Production Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

The production coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth coordination of garment production, quality control, and delivery.

  • Source and select appropriate fabrics, trims, and accessories.
  • Coordinate with production managers to develop samples including fabric selection, construction, fit, and quality.
  • Review and approve samples, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality standards.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Product Development: Develop yearly and monthly production plans with timelines based on order requirements, capacity, and lead times. Plan and allocate resources, including materials and labor. Ensure materials and resources are available for production, monitor production progress, and proactively address any issues or delays to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Vendor Management: Identify and select suppliers and manufacturers. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors. Ensure consistent quality and timely delivery of fabrics and trims.
  • Quality Control: Establish quality standards and guidelines for production. Conduct inspections and quality checks at various stages of production. Work with production teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods. Ensure timely replenishment of materials to avoid production delays. Manage stock levels to minimize excess inventory and reduce costs.

Requirements

  • Education: A degree in textile engineering, fashion merchandising, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: More than 5 years of experience.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of textile and garment manufacturing processes. Familiarity with production management software and tools.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
