Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Experience-driven data engineer sought for a senior-level role that demands designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale data systems.

  • We are looking for a skilled professional to design, create, and manage information data lakes and business intelligence platforms.
  • The ideal candidate will bring together diverse data sets to answer complex business questions and drive growth. They will be responsible for designing ETLs to ingest data into our data warehouse and data lake, as well as end-user facing reporting applications.
  • Collaboration is key in this role, and the ideal candidate will work closely with customers and development teams to define requirements and deliver flexible, scalable, end-to-end solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, creating, and managing large datasets
  • Developing and implementing data warehousing and data lakes
  • Creating ETLs to ingest data into the data warehouse and data lake
  • Working with new technologies to drive business intelligence solutions
  • Applying expertise in data modeling, SQL, ETL, and data warehousing
  • Experience with data modeling, SQL, ETL, data warehousing, and data lakes
  • Writing SQL and Python scripts to automate data processing tasks
  • Building dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience transforming data using Azure data factory
  • Experience working with Spark and Azure Databricks
  • Ability to balance multiple conflicting requirements with high attention to detail
  • Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PySpark, or JavaScript
  • Knowledge of Azure Databricks and MPP databases
  • Experience with data lake development
  • Exposure to NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB, MongoDB
  • Experience working on Microsoft Power BI dashboards
  • Experience following Agile processes
  • Experience working with distributed version control systems like Git
