Cloud Data Engineering Expert

">Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Engineering Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud-native data engineering, with expertise in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines, as well as a deep understanding of data architecture patterns.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data, implementing Change Data Capture (CDC), streaming pipelines, and batch ingestion, and working with various data platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, AWS Glue, S3, Redshift, and GCP BigQuery.

The role will also involve collaborating with data stewards and compliance teams to ensure governance alignment, implementing role-based access control (RBAC), data masking, encryption, and tokenization, and ensuring software development follows defined programming standards and code/design review processes.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing robust and secure data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Gen2, Event Hub, and Azure Functions, and working with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Gen2, Databricks, Synapse, Purview, proficiency in SQL, PySpark, Python, and data orchestration tools, and a strong understanding of data architecture patterns – Lakehouse, Medallion, and Delta Architecture.

A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required, with 4+ years of experience in data engineering and at least 2+ years on Azure cloud platform.

The candidate should have exposure to privacy-enhancing techniques, access control, security auditing, and machine learning use cases in data engineering pipelines, data quality, anomaly detection, and schema change detection.

Other requirements include strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills, ability to lead data initiatives and mentor team members, proactive in learning and adopting emerging technologies in data & AI, business foresight, influencing others, fostering partnerships with customers, managing transformation, driving excellence, and leading teams.

As a Cloud Data Engineering Expert, you will play a pivotal part in designing, developing, and optimizing data ingestion, transformation, and governance frameworks, enabling real-time and batch data analytics across our data platform.
