About this role:

Data Architectural Specialist

This is a key position that involves working across all projects to drive data design best practices, including data modeling, mapping, and analysis.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience with logical and physical data models, SQL code, and data governance.
  • They will be responsible for performing data analysis, profiling, and validation, as well as developing and maintaining data model metadata.
  • The successful candidate will also participate in data model reviews and audits, and provide guidance and mentoring to team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models using industry standards for analytics and operational data stores.
  • Data Analysis: Perform data analysis, profiling, and validation to ensure data quality and correctness.
  • Metadata Management: Develop and maintain data model metadata, including data dictionaries, NSM, and FET files.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster strong partnerships and working relationships.

Experience and Skills:

  • 11-13 years of experience with data modeling, SQL code, and data governance.
  • Subject matter expertise level experience preferred.
  • Experience with data model lineage, mapping, and analysis management tools.
  • Agile delivery environment experience (Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Git).

Education and Training:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field, with at least 6 years of experience in data modeling, data warehousing, and data mining.
