Chief Risk Management Professional

We are seeking a seasoned Chief Risk Management Professional to join our team. As a key member of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) unit, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research, benchmarking, and analysis to support risk assessments, strategic decision-making, and Board-level reporting.
Main Responsibilities- Conduct thorough balance sheet benchmarking of the bank against peers, including SFBs, Universal banks, and peer NBFCs, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Perform ratio analysis and interpret trends/insights on capital adequacy, NIM, cost-to-income, credit costs, GNPA/NNPA, RoA, and RoE to inform business decisions.
- Track and interpret peer disclosures, investor presentations, call transcripts, and annual reports for risk and performance insights, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Research and review business models of peers across retail, MSME, Microfinance, Housing, and other segments to stay ahead of the competition.
- Prepare structured notes on emerging sectors risks, competitive strategies, and market positioning, delivering insights on yields, risk-adjusted returns, portfolio vulnerabilities, key risk drivers, etc.
- Monitor macroeconomic developments, including GDP, inflation, interest rates, liquidity, credit growth, etc., to anticipate potential risks and opportunities.
- Develop sectoral risk outlooks for housing finance, MSME, Microfinance, gold loans, and vehicle loans, including early warning signals from global and domestic economic trends.
- Publish integrated risk scores for key SBUs and engage with SBUs to ensure implementation of corrective measures by the first line.
- Contribute to risk posture reports, Board-level dashboards, and other reporting aspects on risk management at various committees/forums.
- Lead State-Level Risk Connect (SLRC) meetings on an ongoing basis, engaging with regional leadership teams, branch supervisors/officers to understand field-level insights on customers and staff, and recommend enhancements to policies and processes.
- Stay up-to-date with laws and regulations related to business, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
- Develop content and learning materials for various risk-related training programs, enhancing knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Pursue relevant courses for cross-learning and prepare self for growth opportunities, driving professional development.
- Visit Field/Branch offices to get updated and keep abreast of Banking Operations & area-related issues.
