Digital Construction Specialist Role

Our organization is seeking a highly motivated and independent Digital Construction Specialist to join its UK Digital Services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building design and be able to adopt a multidisciplinary approach.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain regular communication with the Digital Services Team to agree on workload and prioritization of tasks.
  • Generate spatial coordination tests (Clash detection) within Navisworks at agreed milestones, rationalizing and production of reports indicating the issues to be coordinated.
  • Conduct walkthrough reviews of federated models to highlight potential buildability, operability, and maintainability issues.
  • Update Newforma Konekt / ACC Issues system with the identified issues.
  • Produce coordination reports from the Newforma Konekt / ACC Issues system.
  • Collaborate with the UK Digital Services team to assign issues to the appropriate organizations and persons to ensure robustly coordinated designs are delivered.
  • Manage the ACC Design collaboration, coordination space, QA/QC reviews and workflow.
  • Audit model information (Revit) against established criteria.
  • Peer review BIM documents and reporting.
  • Prepare/Manage ACC Build checklists for ongoing construction projects.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Clear understanding of Building Information Modelling and its benefits to the construction industry.
  • Structured background experience in building design.
  • Good knowledge of Solibri Office.
  • Multidisciplinary approach to design, independent of background.
  • Experience of using various modelling packages and their interoperation.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining a deadline focus.
  • Interpersonal skills, especially to help people through the information modelling process.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Passion for quality and continuous improvement with a focus on delivery.
