Transformative Programme Lead

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop long-term strategies and annual plans for programme themes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Programme Implementation: Oversee select programme areas to ensure timely delivery of high-quality results, leveraging partnerships and innovation to strengthen impact.
  • Partnership Development: Foster collaborative relationships with implementing agencies, knowledge partners, and peer organisations to enhance programme outcomes.
  • Team Support & Development: Provide mentoring support to mid-level team members, encouraging a culture of learning and accountability.
  • Monitoring & Learning: Ensure effective systems for tracking progress, capturing lessons, and adapting strategies, supporting the preparation of reports and presentations.
  • Financial Oversight: Contribute inputs to budget planning and monitor utilisation in assigned programme areas, ensuring adherence to internal processes and compliance frameworks.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: A bachelor's or master's degree in social sciences, development studies, public policy, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 12–15 years of relevant experience in programme design, management, or evaluation within the development sector, including leadership roles.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Ability to develop and manage multi-stakeholder partnerships.
    • Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
    • Demonstrated capacity to think strategically and translate plans into results.
    • Ability to work effectively in diverse cultural and social contexts.
