Job Summary

A senior data engineer is required to implement an application for a large retailer. The ideal candidate will have expertise in telemetry, big data, and backend engineering.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
  • Expertise in Python, PySpark, and SQL
  • Strong Big Data experience, GCP preferred
  • Telemetry experience
  • Streaming experience with analytics and data processing
  • Business analytics experience and working directly with business partners to implement feedback

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of IoT systems, especially in: Refrigeration units, HVAC systems, Controllers and sensors
  • Familiarity with equipment and systems from Emerson, Honeywell, or similar
  • Ability to explain how data flows through IoT units and how sensors are designed and monitored
