This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing engineering team as a Tech Lead, responsible for leading and mentoring talented engineers, driving technical direction of our backend, and ensuring successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Owning the overall architecture and design of our systems, ensuring scalability, performance, maintainability, and security.
  • Hands-on experience in Ruby, Python, SQL, NoSQL, and event-based systems, with a strong focus on building highly scalable complex distributed systems.
  • Mentoring and guiding engineers on technical best practices, problem-solving, and career development.
  • Fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team.

You will work closely with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust and scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Technical leadership, product development, team management, and system operations.
  • Monitoring system performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively, and implementing robust monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Automating processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Innovation, exploring emerging technologies, and evaluating their potential application to our products.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on backend development.
  • Proficiency in Ruby and proficiency in at least one backend programming language.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • Good communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
