About the Role

  • The Senior Backend Software Engineer will be responsible for leading the technical design, development and documentation of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.
  • They will ensure that expected application performance levels are achieved by coordinating, coding, testing, implementation and documentation.
  • The role requires a deep understanding of software development life cycle and experience with backend development languages such as C# or Java.
  • Skill in designing and developing scalable architecture and efficient code is also essential.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Leverage knowledge of modern software development methodologies to improve overall system quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with other engineers to achieve elegant solutions and elevate technology.
  • Participate in deployment process following all change controls and provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
  • Utilize local meetups to gain and share knowledge.
  • Act as mentor to junior level engineers.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 7-9 years of experience in software development required experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Prior experience with using specific application development toolkit and knowledge of backend development language required.
