Senior Backend Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to lead the development of our fintech platform.

About the Role:

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance on design, coding, and performance optimization.
  • Oversee code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs using Node.js, Express, and supporting technologies.
  • Integrate with databases (PostgreSQL, Redis) and messaging systems (Kafka) to build resilient microservices.
  • Deploy and manage applications in AWS (e.g., EC2, ECS, Lambda) with a strong focus on automation (CI/CD pipelines).

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Node.js development (Express or similar frameworks).
  • Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL (design, queries, optimization) and caching solutions like Redis.
  • Experience with Kafka (or similar messaging queues) for building event-driven or microservices architectures.
  • Proven expertise deploying, maintaining, and optimizing apps on AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
  • DevOps knowledge (CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes or ECS, infrastructure as code).
  • Solid grasp of application security (OWASP, secure coding, threat modeling).
