Immersive Virtual Environment Artist

The role of an Immersive Virtual Environment Artist is to create photorealistic, large-scale environments in Unreal Engine (UE5 preferred) for buildings, cities, interiors. This involves modeling, texturing, and optimizing high-quality 3D assets, such as architecture, props, foliage, lighting, and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create immersive virtual environments while collaborating with architects, engineers, and developers to bring digital twins to life.
  2. Model, texture, and optimize high-quality 3D assets.
  3. Integrate CAD/BIM/Revit and IoT data into interactive Unreal environments.
  4. Optimize assets and scenes for real-time performance.
  5. Set visual standards, provide feedback, and mentor junior artists.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate technical specs into compelling visualizations.
  7. Define and improve workflows for CAD/BIM data import into Unreal.
  8. Maintain accuracy and fidelity in alignment with architectural drawings and design intent.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in 3D Art, Architecture, Computer Graphics, Game Design, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in 3D art/environment design, with 3+ years focused on Unreal Engine (architectural visualization/digital twins).
  • Advanced knowledge of Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5), strong 3D modeling & texturing skills (3ds Max, Blender, Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, ZBrush).
  • Proven ability to import/optimize CAD/BIM/Revit files, lighting, shading, and material creation (PBR workflows).
  • Strong artistic sense of scale, realism, and composition.
  • Deep knowledge of UV mapping, baking, LODs, optimization.
  • Technical Skills: LOD generation & asset optimization, familiarity with Blueprints, VR/AR/MR workflows, GIS, IoT, or real-time data integration within Unreal.
