Equity Research Analyst Intern Job Description

This role involves performing fundamental analysis of companies to assess their investment potential. The analyst will develop and maintain financial models to project company performance and valuations, analyze stocks, monitor market trends, and provide insights for investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth research on companies to identify potential investment opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to forecast company performance and valuations.
  • Analyze stock performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations for investment strategies.
  • Prepare detailed research reports, create presentations, and summarize findings for internal use.
  • Ensure accurate and clear documentation to support research and investment processes.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
  • Assist in monitoring portfolio performance and preparing updates.
  • Support the team with ad-hoc research tasks and projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Active pursuit of CFA Level I/II/III certification and recent completion of a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling and valuation techniques, including DCF and comparables.
  • Knowledge of fundamental analysis and ability to interpret financial statements.
  • Ability to analyze stocks, draft research reports, and prepare professional presentations.
  • Excellent documentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with MS PowerPoint and Word.
  • Basic understanding of capital markets and investment concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills and eagerness to learn about equity research.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
