Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Operations Manager to oversee the daily activities of our production unit. This critical role focuses on achieving productivity targets while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

About the Job:

  • Direct and oversee all aspects of production on the shop floor, ensuring daily objectives are met.
  • Supervise and optimize job placement, workflow, and movement of components during various stages of manufacturing.
  • Create and implement layout plans for new projects including fixtures, gauges, and machinery installation.
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), daily production reports, machine checklists, and breakdown logs.
  • E nsure in-process inventory management and a smooth production flow.
  • Coordinate with R&D and design teams for successful development and integration of new products or structures.
  • Monitor production costs and optimize resource usage.
  • Implement and enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and policies.
  • Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes through lean practices and automation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and certifications as required for solar product manufacturing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in solar structure manufacturing or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of solar mounting structures and fabrication techniques.
  • Experience in handling production machinery, tools, and quality control processes.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
  • Proficiency in production planning software, MS Excel, and ERP systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.

Preferred:

  • Exposure to renewable energy or solar projects.
  • Knowledge of CAD drawings, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles.
  • Prior experience in setting up new production lines or greenfield manufacturing units.

The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, be proactive, and take initiative to drive improvements.
