Job Summary

The Trade/Transaction Analyst position at F335 Deutsche India Private Limited, Bangalore Branch involves working in a fast-paced environment to ensure trade settlements are completed within funding timelines. The role is critical in updating the Bank's books and records, with a direct impact on business profit and loss.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day loan activities, including manual general ledger entries, manual cash flows, and secondary trade processing.
  • Monitor scheduled activity to ensure all transactions are processed within timeframes indicated.
  • Ensure trade funding is processed prior to the daily cutoff time.
  • Interface with internal and external contacts to resolve position discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and escalate aging issues and unresolved disputes to management.
  • Identify and escalate open issues to the team manager.
  • Provide written commentary on outstanding open issues.
  • Collate regular reports for monitoring and reconciliation purposes.
  • Daily monitoring of WIP and control reports to ensure items are properly identified and cleared in a timely manner.
  • Cash matching on internal systems.
  • Review and update procedures to ensure efficiency in training and transaction processing.
  • Participate in departmental projects and initiatives involving UAT testing.
  • Cross-train with other departments for work efficiencies and knowledge enhancements.
  • Adhere to operational controls, including legal and regulatory procedures, to ensure the safety and security of the Bank's assets.
  • Understand business and regulatory requirements and ensure functions are being performed in accordance with those requirements.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics, combined with at least 1-2 years of financial industry experience, or 3-4 years of experience in the financial industry.
  • Ability to read and understand legal documents, such as credit agreements, amendment documentation, trade settlement documents, and loan servicing notices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills under tight deadlines and stress-induced environments.
  • Excellent PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced investment banking operations environment.
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail are essential.
  • Effective decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and handle heavy volumes within deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to achieve group targets.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities with internal departments.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in financial applications, mathematics, and analysis would be beneficial.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of syndicated loans procedures and Loan IQ platform is a plus.
