Job Title: Dam Instrumentation Specialist

Job Description:

As a Dam Instrumentation Specialist, you will play a key role in the planning and implementation of dam instrumentation projects. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of dams.

  • Serve as the lead expert for overall coordination and implementation of dam instrumentation projects.
  • Review instrumentation plans and finalize them concerning instrumentation, SCADA, and surveillance systems.
  • Provide technical support for the establishment of control rooms at dams.
  • Oversee data collection, transmission, processing, and analysis, and finalize outcome report protocols.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and operation of established instrumentation at dams.
  • Manage technical hardware, software, and data transmission for all instrumentation plans.
  • Prepare technical bid documents, focusing on bill of quantities, technical specifications, and instrument selection.
  • Define qualifying criteria for instrumentation and monitoring systems.
  • Conduct third-party inspections and manage transmittals.
  • Facilitate capacity building of staff through customized training programs.
  • Contribute to the revision of guidelines related to instrumentation and monitoring.
  • Provide inputs for the National Website for dam safety information and the MIS system.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering or relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in planning and implementing dam instrumentation projects.
  • Expertise in SCADA, surveillance systems, and automation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
