Senior Azure Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing, securing, and optimizing SQL Server environments, both on-premises and in the Azure cloud.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing Azure SQL Subscription services, ensuring high availability and cost-efficiency. They will also perform database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and monitoring.

  • Manage and administer SQL Server databases (on-premises and Azure SQL).
  • Plan and implement disaster recovery, backups, and high availability solutions (Always On, Geo-Replication, etc.).
  • Implement and monitor security policies, access controls, and compliance standards.
  • Work with development and DevOps teams to support CI/CD and database lifecycle management.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Azure SQL Server and Azure SQL Subscription management.
  • Strong experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting database issues.
  • Deep knowledge of T-SQL, backup/recovery, replication, indexing, and security configurations.
  • Proven experience with migration projects from on-premises SQL Server to Azure.

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent certification.
